Thinking Ergonomix Sponsor Marayke Jonkers - Paralympian
We love to help people achieve their goals. As a result of these feelings and our constant endeavours to assist others, in 2008 Thinking Ergonomix committed to a charity project sponsoring a Paralympian Athlete for her journey to the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing. This extremely talented young woman – Marayke Jonkers – won a silver medal in the 150m individual medley. Well done Marayke!
Marayke has also competed at the Sydney and Athens Olympic Games and the sponsorship ensures Marayke can fulfill her goals on a personal and professional level. Part of the sponsorship program includes donating funds to a charity Marayke established called Sporting Dreams where the charity provides financial assistance to other disabled people who would like to get involved in sport. The funds are used to provide grants to allow the disabled person to purchase equipment such as racing wheelchairs, specialized equipment designed for disabled persons, or perhaps coaching lessons so the disabled person can learn how to swim as well as Marayke does. Marayke has become part of the Thinking Ergonomix family and our journey for successful outcomes. Thinking Ergonomix continues to sponsor her for her future training and competitions.
